FAQ’s
HOW MANY BOXES DO I NEED?
One box will be enough for approximately 200 linear feet.
HOW FAR DO I SPACE THEM OUT?
Space braces 4 feet apart when you are using a 5” to 6” slump (concrete to water mixture)
Space braces 5 feet apart when you are using a 4” to 5” slump (concrete to water mixture)
Space braces 6 feet apart when you are using less than 4” slump (concrete to water mixture)
The wood or steel stakes will provide additional support to the forms and set the height of your footing. Depending on the concrete slump (concrete to water mixture) you may need to add more stakes to support the forms. More water means more weight. Its recommended to use a stake near each AccuFooting™ brace.
WHAT SIZE OF REBAR DO I USE?
Consult your local building codes. Typically #4 or 1/2” rebar is specified. See enclosed concrete codes information sheet in each box.
WHAT ABOUT CORNERS?
Place one AccuFooting™ brace at each corner and lay out spacing approximately 4 feet to 6 feet apart.
DO I HAVE TO NAIL THE ACCUFOOTING™ BRACES?
It is an option, but not recommended. If you need to nail just tack the nail. It makes it easier to strip form boards.
HOW DO I STRIP THE ACCUFOOTING™ BRACE?
Pull up or hit the outside ear of the AccuFooting™ with a hammer to break tabs. Be sure to wear safety glasses.
